Bryan Walton Canadian Council of Grocery Distributors Background/Area of Expertise: General agriculture and food retailing Bio: Born in Westlock, Alberta, raised in Edmonton and attended University of Alberta - Bachelor of Science ('75) and Master of Science ('79) in Zoology. Cornell University Food Executive Program ('85). After leaving graduate school, served as Executive Assistant to Alberta Minister of Agriculture ('79-82). Joined Alberta Department of Agriculture as Associate Trade Director (International Marketing) and later as Trade Director (Alberta). ('82-87). Opened the first Western Office of the CCGD in 1987 and served as Vice President responsible for all operations of the Council in Western Canada and in 1997 became the lead on CCGD's Food Safety file. March 2005 he became the Vice President for National Public Policy and opened CCGD's first office in Ottawa in June that year.
