Richard L. McConnell Hand ‘n Hand Livestock Solutions Background/Area of Expertise: Richard has presented fourteen Low Stress Stockmanship Schools - five with live demonstrations of working cattle - in the past year from Saskatchewan to West Virginia to Missouri. Richard is available for speaking engagements from one hour to two days in length. Bio: Richard grew up on a dairy farm near Republic, Missouri. In 1980 he graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with his B.S. in Agriculture Education. He received his Masters in Ag Ed in 1983 and taught Vocational Agriculture for 13 years. In 1993, Richard purchased a farm in Polk County, Missouri where he now runs a small cow-calf and stocker operation. He has fine tuned his management intensive grazing system with the goal of year 'round grazing without feeding hay. Realizing the need for better stock handling, he attended his first Bud Williams Stockmanship School in Bowie, TX in February 2003. After three years of working with cattle and attending three more Bud Williams Schools, he feels he is able to help others with this much improved method of handling livestock as well as assisting in other areas of ranching he's been working with landowners on for many years.
