Background/Area of Expertise: Farm animal welfare

Bio: Crystal is the Executive Director for Farm & Food Care Ontario, the voice of animal agriculture on issues such as animal care, food safety and the environment. Crystal previously worked with Ontario Pork as Communications Specialist, working in producer, public and media relations, including the popular Farm to Fork program.

Crystal was raised on a beef farm in Renfrew County. She graduated from the University of Guelph in 1992 with her degree in Animal Science and Rural Extension. Crystal is also a graduate of Class 7 of the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program, and the George Morris Centre Executive Development Program.

Crystal is the past-President of the OAC Alumni Association at the University of Guelph, and is a member of the Canadian Agri-Marketing Association and the 4-H Foundation.
