Background/Area of Expertise: Barney was raised on a cattle and sheep grzing opertion in wyoming. He attended the University Whoming and Oklahoma State University (Go Cowboys!). Employed at the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo, State Fair of Texas, Wyoming State Fiar and Rodeo. Taught at Iowa State University and Colorado State University. Mr. Cosner has been involed in Youth Livestock Programs for over thirty-five years.

Presentation Specific to Which Livestock Industry: Youth Livestock Shows / Programs

Presentation Title: “CAN WE STAND SHOW RING SCRUTINY?”

Presentation Summary: Are the proper “educational components” being emphasized int he Youth Livestock Program, through 4-H and FFA youth? Or are we teaching the “win at all costs” attitude with disregard to animal husbandry and to quality end products for consumers?

Speaker Cost: $500.00 per day plus actual expenses to and from presentation site.
